Known as the vane of the development trend of international maritime technology and the most influential and large-scale maritime professional exhibition in the world this year, Marintec China 2023 will be held at the Pudong New International Expo Center from December 5 to 8. This is the first time in four years that Marintec China has returned to offline and attracted more than 2,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions.
According to Clarkson's latest statistics, from January to October, the global new ship orders were 1,547, totaling 89,119,500 deadweight tons. At the end of October, Clarkson's newbuilding price index reached 176 points, the highest since 2009 and only 8% from the all-time high set in August 2008. A new round of industrial upward cycle of the world's shipbuilding industry has begun, and the development of the global maritime industry has once again ushered in a rare historical opportunity, which has also created good conditions for the smooth convening of this maritime exhibition.
According to the Marintec China Organizing Committee, about 42% of the exhibition is overseas enterprises, Denmark, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Norway, the United States, the United Kingdom and China and other 15 countries and regions to participate in the form of national or regional pavilions, including China Shipbuilding Group, COSCO Shipping Group, China Merchants Industry Group, Zhenhua Heavy Industries, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Tsuneishi Shipbuilding, ABB, Siemens, MacGregor, Kongsberg, MAN, Rolls-Royce, Wartsila, Cummins, Schneider, Major industry giants and well-known enterprises, including Ustan and Osayneng, are present at the exhibition.
With the continuous growth of China's marine equipment industry chain, both the exhibition area and the number of exhibitors in the domestic pavilion have exceeded the largest scale in history by more than 10%, and in addition to enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, a total of enterprises from 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government participated in the exhibition. The organizing committee expects that this exhibition is expected to attract more than 70,000 professional visitors from more than 100 countries and regions.
